The fishing continues to be good on the flats the last week. We have caught decent numbers of fish on both flies and lures. There have been a ton of schoolies size fish to keep you busy when tides are right, and we have had shots just about every day at some big fish too.The last few days have seen a decent topwater bite develop, again a mixture of schoolies chasing the poppers and the occasional 40 plus incher. Nothing more exciting then watching a big one coming for your topwater popper. Weather has continued to be bearable, and water conditions are consisitent. This has been one of the best seasons in years.
The season is set to end on May 3. I may have one or two more spots free if you are looking to get out and fish. Weather forecasts for the rest of this week look good, so I expect more good fishing.
